Want Relief from the Tension of Life? Metuchen Massage Therapy is on the way

With plans to open in June, Metuchen Massage Therapy is happy to be a new addition to the Metuchen business community. After receiving a Change of Use variance, construction will soon begin in the old Bagel Pantry site on Route 27 - transforming it into a five-room massage therapy clinic.

A client himself, owner Dr. Marc Rappaport strongly believes in massage therapy for pain management and stress relief.  He explained that the clinic will be licensed by the State of NJ, which means it can be used in conjunction with insurance benefits and phyisican referrals.

Services will cost $50 per hour with half hour sessions available.  The clinic will be open from 10 am - 10 pm seven days per week.  Affordable and available, Dr. Rappaport said they are prepared-for and expecting 50% of the clientele will be walk-ins. Parking is available in the lot behind the building.

Don't forget pizzerias. Many times we want to shop on Main Street for a quick item. Parking is luck of the draw and we decide to go where we have closer parking. Are we lazy? You bet. We tend to patronize the stores that have good parking. Boro Hardware and Pearl Street.

Of course we don't shop here, there is nowhere to shop!

Folks in town don't seem to shop here so why not have service oriented businesses that people who drive through town can support?

Funny, but with five rooms he must have a staff.

"Metuchen is not the place where I would set up a Small Business knowing that I had duplication anywhere around me."

Yeah, because Route 1 has no restaurants, right? No cleaners, no nail salons?

He massages himself?

10am-10pm 7 days a week? Wow, that's a lot of massage therapy!

Metuchen, the massage capital of the world.

It is crazy. Look at all the competing Dry Cleaners; Hair Salons; Banks, the same type ethnic food restaurants such as Chinese and Italian etc...; Photographers; Flower Stores; and Insurance Agents.

I can not blame the politic ans because people take/make their own business risk but Metuchen is not the place where I would set up a Small Business knowing that I had duplication anywhere around me.

Wait a minute....another one? This is in addition the massage business that was just posted on Metuchen Matters last week? What is going on in Metuchen w/all these massage centers and day spa places? ugh
