For Earth Day I'll do what we do almost every weekend. Go to a town park and pick up other people's litter while my kids play. Wouldn't it be nice if we could spend our time doing something more productive than just picking up after inconsiderate people?

Exactly. So why don't we all do it? I'll make a call tomorrow.

Oops, hit submit by accident.

Things are more likely to happen when more than one person makes the same request.

I do that all the time. Fred is probably tired of hearing from me.

Maybe if you see something that you think needs change, you could pick up your cell phone and make a call to Public Works to find out how we can enable them to put up more containers in areas that we all notice have great traffic and create lots of garbage and recycling.

The town and board of ed need to put out more recycling containers. Was at the Center Street park today but it does not have a recycling container. Campbell School does not have a recycling container on its playground, and the one garbage can there was filled to the brim, mostly with recyclables.

"Public places in town" - I wonder what that means?
