The wildlife news group WildNewJersey.tv this week released "The Raritan: Queen of Rivers," an 8-minute documentary on the incredible story of the longest river solely in New Jersey. The Raritan's recovery over the past two decades, led by Edison Wetlands Association and NY-NJ Baykeeper, among other organizations, has helped create thriving fish populationa and the return of species such as bald eagle, osprey, American bittern, beaver, and harbor seals to the river and its tributaries.
The documentary, produced and hosted by David Wheeler and edited by Melanie Worob, includes interviews with many of the key players on the Lower Raritan River, including Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac, EWA's Robert Spiegel, Baykeeper's Debbie Mans and Greg Remaud, Raritan Riverkeeper Bill Schultz, Bayshore Recycling's Valerie Montecalvo, and representatives from New Jersey WaterWatch and Rutgers University.

I fish on the Raritan river every weekend and its true the fish have come back great. I saw a bald eagle last week too. This video is good, its about time the raritan gets its due.
