Love, friendship, community spirit, and healthy living all came together on Saturday morning as the Fuce5 wove its way through the borough. The event was a big success with 588 race registrants and dozens of volunteers coming together to celebrate the life of Mike Fuccile. A special thanks to Novita for graciously hosting the perfect staging site for registration, music, and refreshments; and the police and fire departments for ensuring safety along the route.
Congratulations to the organizing committee; you did an amazing job!
Many of the 588 registrants were families with children who participated in the race.
Top three finishers and their times:
Frank Francobandiero (18:47)
Ken Vercammen (18:58)

Give it a rest. Only "men" recognized? Looks to me like 3 men were recognized and 9 CHILDREN were recognized. The event was a "FAMILY FUN RUN/WALK" not the NYC marathon.
I'm a woman; I ran; but not as fast as the 3 men recognized in my age category -- so what??? I enjoyed the event. I wasn't looking for recognition. I was there to show my support and enjoy a community event.
It was non-biased, it went by age not gender.
Yes a lovely family day where only the achievements of men are recognized. Great fun.
What's lame is people who can't appreciate the event for what it was -- a lovely family day that drew the community together.
Get over the "winner list" -- it was a wonderful event - with much hard work put into it!
That's lame.
I asked and the race organizers didn't keep times for all runners since it was a 'fun run' rather than a competitive 5K. Next year, they are planning on having full timing. So, look for the women's top 3 next year!
Not a race - a family run. If you were there, you know full well they did not track all finishers. If you were not, you missed a great event for a great family.
Why don't you check the Fuce 5K site?? Their race, their results.
how about all the race results..
Still looking for those top female finishers by age group!!
Tons of pictures, they were great!
Nice photos.
Oh well, guess the handwriting was hard to read on the registration form. Thanks, will change it.
What about the top female finishers? Most events show those too.
Oh Teri, how could you spell Ken Vercammen's name wrong? Now you'll never get any free legal advice!
Congratulations Frank!
Congratulations to everyone who made it a great success! Since my family was unable to participate this year, I hope it will happen next year so we can! For all the nitpicking some people can do in this town about the issues, they can sure come together to help each other with huge gifts! Nice going, Metuchen!
It was a fantastic day - made me proud to be part of such a town. And Nancy is incredibly generous in her wishes that everyone have fun and be happy and count their blessings. She is a beautiful and inspiring woman. Great job to all of the organizers. Novita was a great venue. It was a perfect event!
Great job everyone
Lets make it an annual event
But next time please, don't release any mylar balloons, no reason for that at all
