June 12 we had fun. Hub Kings were very entertaining, as were the open mic guitarists and poets at What's the Scoop.
One disappointment for the kids - we went to Borough Hall around 8:30 for the balloon event but they had ended early because they ran out of balloons.
What about the artists who were supposed to show only on the 5th or outdoor performances from the 5th - and as the above person asked - the June Bug Shakers - will they be rescheduled? Inquiring minds want to know!
They cancelled the interactive art events due to the rain. The interactive events make it fun for the kids. Will they reschedule the "shaker making"?
The kids enjoyed learning about beads at Top Drawer, viewing the scupture, and meeting up with friends.
The band at What's the Scoop was fantastic. I hope to see and hear them again.
Looking forward to the rest of the festival!
Saw Dottie and Trixie standing under a canopy handing out slighted damp programs. You go girls.
I was personally amazed at how many people did come out in the downpour! The ribbon-cuttings: at the Rotunda Gallery, the Junebug sculpture, and at What's the Scoop's "Artist Alley" were especially well-attended given the weather.
