From Councilman Morrison and the Cultural Arts Commission:
TONIGHT: There is a free live performance of Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew tonight at Tommy's Pond - starting at 7. If it rains, the play will be performed at the Senior Center. The performance runs just over an hour.
The show was moved to the Senior Center due to the threat of rain. The "impromptu theater" (a/k/a the main room) was full (they were forced to start pulling extra folding chairs out of other rooms and closets). It really was a great performance! Thanks again to Cultural Arts and to Metuchen Matters for the plug!
There's nothing like open-air Shakespeare!
Just to be clear - the Cultural Arts Commission has arranged for and is responsible for the show tonight. Thank you Cultural Arts! (All I did was mention to Metuchen Matters that the show was scheduled for tonight). Hope to see you there!
