Jerseyaardvarks2.jpegMetuchen resident and native Michael Napolitano is bringing something new and cool to town. Music for Aardvarks, a non-traditional music class for kids, will begin offering classes at the new Forum Arts Center Creative Arts program.

Created in Brooklyn -1997 by a NY rock musician, Music for Aardvarks is based around rock rhythms with influences of blues, ballads, jazz and pop.  The songs used reflect and celebrate the lives of children growing-up today.  Informal and spirited classes are geared toward children between 6 months and 5 years old and incorporate singing, dancing, musical storytelling, jam sessions, and more.  The goal is not only to provide stimulating and enriching musical experiences, but do so through positive role models and with gentle encouragement and guidance.

Michael Napolitano, a musician known within the NYC indie-music scene, performs in NY weekly and is also the lead sound engineer for Blue Man Group.   He began taking his own daughter, Emilia, to Aadrvarks and, liking the program so much, decided to bring it to the families in his hometown. And to the Forum's new arts school--check it out! Registration is open now!

We have taken several of Michael's classes and he is fantastic! My son Wilder loves rocking out with Michael. Don't miss out on what is sure to be a fun, rocking and educational time.

I called and signed my 20 month year old today. The guy running it sounded pretty cool. It should be a fun time.

Our youngest, Jacob, has been attending Michael's class and LOVES it! If you have a little rock star at home, I encourage you to consider this program for yours. Great to have a hometown business rocking it out!!
