Metuchen Travel Soccer Club started the Fall Season by having most of their teams participate in South Brunswick, Bridgewater or Piscataway Tournaments;

 

South Brunswick Tournament:

Metuchen Fire U8 team competed in the first tournament resulting in a great experience for the team.  The Fire is coached by Scott Derector. 

Metuchen United U9 girls team posted a second place finish with a 3-1 record with 3 shutouts and outscoring their opponents 11-2.  Goals were scored by Lauren Piovoso (4), Mya Stolarski (4), Kylie Rosler, Abbey Galeota, and Sabrina Schwartz.  The defense was lead by Maggie Zeng, Emma Dowd, Claire Waldron, and Gianna Sanchez.  Great team play was added by Courtney Little, Chloe Jaques, Natelie Tiu, and Julianna Mullen.  Metuchen United's head coach is Craig Stolarski with Assistant Coaches Kelly Jaques and Will Waldron.

 

Metuchen Storm U10 girls team played in their first tournament since they were formed and played some entertaining soccer.  The Storm is coached by Mike Kornitas.

 

The U11 Huskies had a great weekend.  The girls won their division with 2 wins, one loss, and one tie.  The wins were decisive, the loss was a hard fought, competitive games, and the team came back to tie near the end of the second half.  The girls demonstrated a lot of heart and effort.  The Huskies are coached by Beth Lucas and Kelly Jaques.

 

The Metuchen Raptors U12 boys team went 4-0 and took first place in their division. The Raptors are coached by Gary Minor.

 

The Metuchen Patriots U14 boys finished in 2nd place in their group.

 

Bridgewater Tournament:

The Lady Rovers U10 girls team coached by Jeff Josell played in the top flight and competed against some very strong competition.

 

Piscataway Tournament:

The Blue Lightning U12 girls team finished in second place for their age group. The Lightening is coached by Brian Goldhamer and Mike Taylor.
