Tonery became the sixth St. Joseph swimmer in the last 10 years to earn two individual titles and led his team to its 32nd straight team title at the Greater Middlesex Conference Championships last week at North Brunswick. Tonery split 25.15 for the butterfly leg of the first-place 200-yard medley relay (1:43.09), won the 200 individual medley in 2:01.91 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:02.82, and split 50.84 anchoring the first-place 400 freestyle relay (3:25.45).
