Bruce Peragallo, Acting Principal at MHS, Becomes Active Principal Next Year

Bruce Peragallo has made education his career for the last 31 years. It was announced last night at the Board of Education meeting that, after an exhaustive search, the acting principal of Metuchen High School will, as of next year, be the sitting principal of MHS. A longtime Metuchen resident, he is also an active member of the Metuchen Recreation Commission.

He had taught Health and Physical Education for 26 years in various school districts in New Jersey at many grade levels. Bruce was a K-12 Supervisor of Health and Physical Education for four years in the West Orange School District, West Orange.
Bruce has been a member of the Core Curriculum Content Standards for Health and Physical Education Committee over the course of the last three revisions to the state standards. He has had the opportunity to work with the Educational Testing Service as a consultant with the Health and Physical Education Praxis Test as well as serving as the "Teacher In Residence" for the National Teaching Standards Board Certification program. Bruce has served as President (two terms) of the New Jersey Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance and has been an active member of the Association for the last 27 years.
