A bigger question is will they ever look into the amount administration that we currently have on the payroll. It's a lot of money going into Department Heads that might be better used in the classrooms

40% of the voting electorate still said NO. What made the difference was the heads up position/action by our teachers. They made the sacrifice and commitment and avoided the conflict. More will be asked of all later of that I am certain.

I am still wondering did they have to do it now when busing transportation is as much as the Metuchen Budget was cut by the state? The teachers took the hit for busing. Rather then fight it, I am proud that they joined with the rest of us in the daily struggle that we now all face. My hat is off to them.

School Board members start being more effective as to deciding what is mission critical and what is ancillary. Busing is ancillary. Parents will have to bear more of the burden in the out years.

We may be required to provide it but who pays is another matter. My position is a 50/50 split on that between taxpayer and parent or take responsibility for getting your kids to school.
