From Area Girl Scouts Service Units:

The North Edison/Metuchen Girl Scouts have merged this summer with the Girl Scouts from South Edison/Highland Park to form a new Service Unit called "Edison/Metuchen/Highland Park."  This new Service Unit will have a total of 1000 girls covering all levels - Daisies (Grades K-1), Brownies (Grades 2-3), Juniors (Grades 4-5), Cadettes (Grades 6, 7, and 8),  Seniors (Grades 9-10), and Ambassadors (Grades 11-12).  Girl Scouts participate in community service projects, camping, and lots of fun activities.  Girl Scouts helps to build character, leadership skills, confidence, and many other life skills.

What your daughter gets out of each day is up to you.  So, did she have any amazing adventures today?  Non-stop fun?  Did she have a chance to discover her potential?  To build confidence?  Girls Scouts offers girls endless ways to turn boring days into days she'll remember all her life.  Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.

Become a Girl Scout Volunteer! Parents/adults are invited to join the fun. Girl Scout volunteers are a diverse group of women and men whose expertise, skills, interests, and life experiences nurture each girl's individuality and leadership qualities. Come share your personal passions and create experiences together you'll never forget.

Girls who are interested in joining the Edison/Metuchen/Highland Park Girl Scouts should have their parents send an e-mail to or mail a note to P.O. Box 546, Metuchen, NJ 08840.
