Rich Puerzer Presents Big League Baseball In A Small Town April 3rd

Join baseball historian Rich Puerzer when he presents Big League Baseball in a Small Town: Metuchen and the Summer of 1936 on Sunday, April 3 at 2 PM at the Metuchen Public Library, 480 Middlesex Avenue. Mr. Puerzer's presentation includes original photographs and news clippings about the 1936 semi-pro baseball team from Metuchen and their most famous game of the season when they played the St. Louis Cardinals, whose team included five future Hall of Famers.

Rich Puerzer is a Ph.D in Industrial Engineering and the Chairperson of the Engineering Department at Hofstra University, where he's worked since 1996. Over the past eleven summers, Mr. Puerzer has presented papers at the Cooperstown Baseball Symposium.  The free program is open to baseball fans and other interested folks, ages 9 to 99!
