Superintendent_V__Caputo.jpgMetuchen Superintendent Vincent Caputo is well on his way to getting to know his constituency first hand. The other day he read "Mr. Tannen's Ties" to Dee Sneddon's second graders at Campbell Elemetary School as part of a school-wide literacy initiative.  According to Principal Florence Carter, a language arts specialist who previously helped revamp Edgar School's reading program,  "There is nothing more important than our youngest students having the best possible reading instruction."  Mr. Caputo followed this book with Barack Obama's "Of Thee I Sing," a tribute to great American heroes in all fields, written as a heartfelt letter to his daughters. The visit was greatly enjoyed by students and staff alike.
