The Kids Theater Experience Plays Fun this Spring

Registration for Spring 2012 session of The Kids Theater Experience is happening now. The session runs from  2/27 - 5/17 and the class ranges are 1st-10th grades with some special NYC guest workshops announced on the website.

Although most classes are full, you can inquire about openings in any class; however, the 1st-2nd grade section has a few more openings.  Proprietor and instructor Ann Marie Mullen said, "This is a good semester for younger students as we play a lot of theater games that the kids LOVE!" Each class has an end of semester performance with an audience that interacts with them and guides the improv sessions live.  Mullen added, "Improvisation in theater teaches the wonderful skill of critical thinking.  It helps kids approach a situation or scenerio with thought, wittiness and humor, not to mention the confidence they feel when they make us laugh.  All acting skills taught here can be taken with them in whatever they do as a growing student."  TKTE says spring is "typically the kid's favorite semester as they escape the busy season for an hour a week and just have loads of laughs with their theater arts friends."   Click here for their website and more information.
