From the Chamber: Each year the Memorial Day Parade Committee in Metuchen invites all veterans and active duty personnel to be a part of the Memorial Day Parade. The committee works tirelessly to identify and honor at least one veteran from each of the existing wars. This year we need your help!
As this year's theme is "Honoring Our Women in the Military," we are looking for two more female grand marshals....one that served in the Korean War and one that served in WWII. If you know of someone who has served in one of those two conflicts (a friend, neighbor, relative, etc.) that would allow us to honor them as one of our grand marshals, please call the Chamber office at (732) 548-2964. Also, if you know of anyone that is a veteran or currently serving our country that will be in the area on Memorial Day, have them contact the Metuchen Area Chamber of Commerce to be a part of our parade.
The Memorial Day Parade steps off
at 10:00 am on Monday, May 28, 2012. A brief ceremony at Memorial Park
will take place immediately following the parade. Your attendance will help us
