Steve Beal Presents LOCAL COLOR at Rotunda Gallery NOW

Edison artist Steve Beal will display a compilation of watercolor paintings at Metuchen's Gallery @ the Rotunda, in a show entitled "LOCAL COLOR". The exhibit, which will run from July 3rd to September 30th, is sponsored by Metuchen Arts Council. The Gallery @ the Rotunda is in Metuchen's Borough Hall building located on the corner of Main Street and Route 27 in Metuchen. An Opening Reception will be held on Sunday July 14th between 2 and 4 PM.

Steve, who has had many solo and group shows, was a member of Metuchen Artworks and also has produced many commissioned works for private clients. His work is frequently displayed in retail establishments in Metuchen, most recently at To Be Continued Bookstore and Café on Main Street.

Mr. Beal currently lives in Edison with his wife and three teen-aged children, all of whom share a similar love of art and culture, but he was born and raised in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. He studied Architecture and Construction Management at Pratt Institute where he developed an interest in painting urban street scenes.

"I am especially interested in the interplay between light and shadow. Most of my paintings make use of this ingredient to create a sense of perspective and time."
"I am especially proud and privileged to be showing my work at the Rotunda. It is my hope that the sharing of my work will perhaps inspire others to do the same."
