The party he is referring to will happen at To Be Continued Bookstore on October 10th, 2013. Ms. Rubin explains it all for us here and extends an invitation to the community to join this special event:

Our son, Max, who is ten years old and in fifth grade at Edgar Middle School, is having a birthday party to celebrate the the main character from the best selling book, Wonder by R.J. Pallacio.

Wonder is a beautiful story about August Pullman, a ten year old boy who has a deformity. He never attended school before and the book is about his first year at public school, how he make friends and the impact he has on his family and the entire community. My son, who has cerebral palsy, connected very deeply with this story as he feels as though someone has written his life's words.

To be Continued has been gracious enough to host the party and we are expecting a nice turn-out of kids and adults. Come join us!
