Hub City Fencing Offers New Sessions Starting June 2nd

Intro to Fencing - 10 weeks - $300 - Includes brand new equipment

Upcoming sessions begin:

Youth (ages 7-11): Monday, 6/2 - 7pm

Adult (age 12 and up): Saturday, 6/7 - 1pm

Our most popular program, Introduction to Fencing, is a 10 week course that meets once weekly for an hour. It is designed for people with little or no fencing experience and will provide a good foundation for more advanced techniques. During the course, students will learn the basics of footwork, and the rules and techniques for the foil, epee, and sabre weapons. At the conclusion of the course, students choose which weapon they prefer, and join the appropriate group class for that weapon. The course is $300 for ten lessons and brand new equipment that is yours to keep.

Pick Your Weapon - 4 weeks - $100

Upcoming sessions begin:

Thursday, 6/5 - 6pm and Tuesday, 7/1 - 7pm

This is a shorter program, only lasting four weeks. The four lessons allow the students to briefly learn footwork, foil, epee, and sabre. This course is best for students with complicated schedules and limited availability, or who are unsure about committing to a longer program.

Just for Kids! Saturday Morning Fitness, Fencing, & Fun!

Ages 7-11 / Grades 2-5

9am-12pm

Classes are ongoing

$35 per session prepaying for 3 full months*
$45 per session prepaying for one full month*
$55 per session for 3 hours of fencing, fitness, and fun!

Hub City Fencing Academy is proud to offer a new program for young athletes on Saturday mornings. These high energy 3 hour sessions will provide great exercise, fun, and training in the sport of fencing.


Each week's fun-filled activities and games will integrate cardio, conditioning, and fencing in a friendly environment. Coaches will lead students in exercises utilizing body weight resistance to build strength. Young athletes will improve stamina, coordination, agility, and endurance. Exercises and activities can be modified for all ages and skill levels so that all students will feel comfortable and included. Not only will these fun challenges improve overall physical fitness, but they will also lay the groundwork for successful fencing careers.

Sessions will begin with warm up and stretching, then progress to group exercises, games, and partner work. Time will be dedicated to learning correct fencing footwork, building muscle memory with fencing drills, supervised electric bouting, and learning to referee fencing bouts.

*Registration fees are non-refundable. We offer credit for up to one missed session per month. Credit can be used toward weeknight group classes or future Saturday Morning Fitness, Fencing & Fun sessions.
