Library "Call for Artists" for The Gallery at the Library

The Metuchen Public Library, 480 Middlesex Avenue, will soon open The Gallery at The Library in the upstairs Community Room.  The September exhibit will be The Oak Tree Artists led by Ray Skibinski, and in October, the winners of the Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey poster contest, "Species on the Edge," will be shown.

This is a "Call To Artists" for two upcoming shows.  An exhibit beginning in November is entitled Celebrate New Jersey, 350 Years.  Works for this exhibit should reflect a New Jersey-related theme, and must be submitted by Friday, September 12.

The theme for the December/January show is Winter, and again, the work should express an idea or feeling about that season.  Deadline for submissions is October 16.  Established and emerging artists are invited to submit up to two works for either show by sending an e-file of each piece to metuchenlibrary @ gmail.com.    Artists will be notified when the selection of work to be included in the exhibit is completed.   Additional information is available on the Metuchen Public Library website, www.metuchennj.org/library , or by emailphotoedit2@earthlink.net  or kath14h@gmail.com
