Metuchen School District Creates Task Force for World Language Offerings -- Join Up!

The Metuchen School District will convene a Task Force beginning in October to survey the current World Language offerings in the schools.  A World Language Task Force, previously formed in 2012, compared Metuchen World Language studies to school districts similar in size.  That report can be found on the Metuchen School District website.

This task force will review the findings of the original task force, create a new survey to be distributed to parents and students through Naviance, and develop recommendations to the Board of Education for a broad and comprehensive program, taking students from the basics of learning a language to actively engaging students in a learning opportunity that is connected to the school and broader community.

Parents, students, business members and civic leaders are encouraged to join this task force.  If you are interested, please contact Christine De Simone, Supervisor of Music, Art and World Language, at 732 321-8756 or cdesimone@metboe.k12.nj.us.  The first meeting will be held in October.
