There is a series of workshops (free) for veterans sponsored by the Josephine Herrick Project (formerly Rehabilitation Through Photography).

The workshops take place beginning October 11th and run for 8 weeks. Location is Unique Photo in Fairfield, NJ.

Veterans from all wars (WW2, Korea, Vietnam and current day) are all welcome. They will be able to use equipment for free and will be taught the basics of cameras, composition, etc.  There are 4 professional photographers running the workshops.

Metuchen's Christine Cuthbertson, Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC), is displaying about a dozen photographs from her trip to Vietnam, printed on metal (in various sizes) so the Vietnam veterans can see what Vietnam looks like now. She did this show in Holmdel at the Vietnam Memorial and it was well received.
