GSFF15.jpgAn original short dramatic film by Metuchen film students who attend the Write Stuff Writers Workshop has been selected for the Garden State Film Festival, to run in Atlantic City March 19-22, 2015. The entry is titled LUCY.

Metuchen High School freshman Molly Babos wrote the script for LUCY and stars with Metuchen High School sophomore Sandy Fairclough. The short film was directed by Metuchen High freshman Ada Nelson and edited by Edgar School 8th Grader Julia Memory. Additional members of the Write Stuff Writers Workshop and local teen actors also played supporting roles in the film, notably Geneva Lawson, an Edgar 8th grader. Sebastian Zuniga, who was Aladdin in Edgar's production of the musical ALADDIN JR. last spring rounded out the main cast. The script was workshopped in the Thursday class of the WSWW throughout the year. The film was shot in Metuchen locations.

The Write Stuff Writers Workshop is headed by local writer/filmmaker Jana Sicliano who runs workshops and private classes in academic writing, creative writing and filmmaking in Metuchen.
