5th Annual Brainy Borough Chili Challenge
Saturday, February 20, 1 pm

Taste over a dozen chilis - some traditional, some wild, all delicious! We sell only 100 tasting tickets to the public and all proceeds provide a scholarship to a MHS student pursuing a career in education, medicine, or social work. This is our organization's 86th year of supporting our local students and we hope to continue for many more. Click here for tickets

Metuchen Open Mic Night
Saturday, February 20, 7pm, FREE
We'll have an evening of special music by our faves who have passed since January 1st (what a hideous six weeks...boo). Please come prepared to play (or just hang and listen to) Bowie, Eagles, Jefferson Airplane/J. Starship, and/or Earth WInd & Fire! All gear other than instruments are provided - a PA system, mic stand, cables, mics... and there is a house piano!

Raconteur Radio presents a staged radio play at the Mt. Zion Masonic Lodge.  Refreshments and complimentary cocktails sponsored by the Borough Improvement League.  Tickets are $15 and available online .

Schoolhouse Songwriter Series: Winter 2016 edition!
Saturday, February 27, 8 pm, $10 (at the door)
Join a quartet of top local and regional singer-songwriters for an intimate, cafe-style, candlelit evening of music, hosted by Metuchen-based singer-songwriterSharon Goldman and sponsored by the Metuchen Arts Council. For this winter offering, Goldman has invited three talented performers to join her in sharing original music in a round-robin format: New Jersey's own CHRISTINE DELEON; Peekskill, NY's FRED GILLEN JR; and Philadelphia's AVI WISNIA.
