Miss New Jersey Chhavi Verg assisted the  members of the First Presbyterian Church of Metuchen during their Thanksgiving rush last week.  Verg, 19, of Edison, joined by her mother, Meera, out together and helped families bring out much needed supplies to their cars before the holiday began, according to Tom Giordano, who runs the food pantry. On her Instagrram page, Berg was "Feeling extra grateful this year because I had the opportunity to work with a local church and food pantry to put together grocery bags for families in need so that they could have an even happier Thanksgiving/" Sixty families in all benefitted from the generous offerings at the pantry with Verg's assistance.
