Junior Girl Scouts Receive High Honors

Last Friday, 61 Junior Girl Scouts from the North Edison-Metuchen Service Unit were honored with the Bronze Award - the highest achievement for girl scouts in grades 4 through 6.

To earn the Bronze Award, girls are required to complete several badges, leadership hours, and a community service project of at least 15 hours. This year, the girls' projects included food, toy, and pet supply drives; workshops in math, clowning, women in history and first aid; and planting trees and bushes to beautify a school courtyard.

You go girls!
